The Blarney Stone in Fredericksburg

This is one of my favorite bars in all of Vancouver. It has a really good crowd, and an amazing live Irish band. They play really lively rock music, and during their break, the DJ plays great top 40 music.

Very neat and welcoming restaurant. They provide generous portions and for inexpensive prices. I enjoyed the menu very much and the staff members were very amiable and explanatory. I recommend this place.

Definitely a new favorite! Can't believe I haven't been to this old Irish tavern. So much atmosphere and great crowds.

Great live music and cool set up. If you want to hear the music but not be packed in you can sit up front by the windows and the front bar. If you want to see the stage and get on the floor the bar area in the back is perfect. It is a really perfect set up for chilling or dancing to live music without it being too loud. Loved this place. Love Gastown.

This pub is very good, prices are Ok for the location, not too expensive. However, they had some confusion yesterday because of the event of St. Patrick's Day. I had a guestlist and in the email confirming it said me and my guests had priority until 8pm. When we got there this didn't happen, we had to wait at least 30min in line. We got there before 8pm. The pub has to be better when they have events so this doesn't happen again. Fortunately this didn't spoil our night! 😊

Introduced after Canada Fireworks by a new acquaintance though it was quite inside the interior atmosphere was warm and inviting. Looking forward to many more visits. Our waitress Orla Irish for Golden Princess was exactly that a royal gem.

Great food, love the soup and sandwich deal and the daily drink specials. Staff are lovely.

Just had the best shepherds pie takeout, if you want shepherds pie this is the place to go. Could even pick up a fresh cold Guiness to go. Highly recommend this place.

When you first walk in you have no clue if you have to seat yourself or if a server takes you to one. Once we got seated, nobody came to our table to take our drink order so I found a bartender. The same thing happened with trying to order food. We constantly had to leave the table to find a waitress after waiting a while. Once we finally got our food and drinks, the waitresses brought us other people's orders twice. They are also not the most polite either.A place to get regular bar food and a drink but save yourself the hassle and just get a drink from the bar.

Great place for a pint and some live music, I just wish they started the set a little earlier... more local breweries on tap would get ye a another star higher rating too... I would be here every friday if they carried a local stout like Persephone Stout.

Great fish n chips as well as steak and Guinness pie, but a definite must is the deep fried Mars bars with ice cream!

This is as close as you can get to a real Irish pub in Canada. All the staff and most of the patrons have the accent. A delightful place to while away a pleasant evening.

I came here for dinner on a weeknight. I really like the wood details and how large the space is. It's very big inside and not crowded like many Vancouver spots. There was a stage with drums, so live music looks like something fun that happens here! There's also a pool table and darts. The food was better than I anticipated. The slow cooked beef inside the Stuffed Yorkshire pudding was really good! I'll be back here again for sure 👌🏼

My friends and I don't usually have much time to go out together. But when we do, we always go to Balarny Stone. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and an excellent band that plays on Saturday night!

A welcoming ambience that makes you wanna keep drinking. Love the sangria. Excited for covid to be over so I can experience the live music.

It was ok. The lady seemed like she would rather be somewhere else. I was friendly and acknowledged people on my way out but it was a pretty chilly reception...The menu is a bit pricy especially with their drinks tasting mediocre. All in all? Will go somewhere else.

AMAZING atmosphere!! I always feel safe and comfortable at Blarney, even at 3 am. If you come for dinner, the food is amazing at great prices. Excellent service. Taylor served my big birthday group and was really great for keeping us all straight even though we were moving around so much. Booking a table was straightforward and Sophie was so great for helping me out when I needed clarification. Thank you to the whole Blarney Stone team!!

Good pub with old school decor...have dined there a couple of times..I recommend it..fair prices..good portions...

Came here for trivia night. Tech was down but got up and going. Good wing and beer special. Weekends are usually crazy busy here. Nice gastown vibes.

Went there Sat with the wife for valentines weekend up from Seattle. Great band and a fun place, but we were pretty disappointed in the attitude of the staff. We repeatedly observed the security and staff pushing people out of the way as they walked around. The door guy tried to push my wife aside while I was paying the cover. Rude and unacceptable. I guess they have a captive audience due to location and venue. It was a fun night but will not return.

This pub just has the right vibe.I have been here twice and both times there was great live music.Good beer tastes much better when listening to local guys nailing it (and I usually don't appreciate cover songs).

I have been coming here since I was a child. It was a place we came for lunch as a family and, later, a place I went on my own on a Saturday or Friday night. It's one of the best spots in Gastown to have a good time, laugh and hear good music.

Great spot for a group. Good live music and a proper bar for a good laugh and dance.

The Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding is to die for. I might have to come back before my trip is over to get it again. The Yorkshire pudding were fluffy the beef was tender and the mustard on top made me want it on every sandwich for the rest of my life!

Wednesday they have a special for wings and a bomber beer, right around $12 so I had to take in this while on vacation. Wings were delicious (ordered lemon pepper and bbq) and the lager was great! Irish music playing in the background, service was fantastic and waitress was really friendly. She was giving me tips for things to do and see while here on vacation and it was much appreciated. They have bomber trivia on Wednesday nights at 8pm too which I’m thinking about coming back for tonight!

I like this restaurant! They serve tasty food, their menu is nice, The chef in that spot is an expert, I enjoy very much eating all their dishes. The dishes are always of high qualtity, the service towards the visitors is efficient. I go often to this restaurant and I not even once was discontended. I recommend it to all.

I've only ever gone there to have a couple pints of Guinness. Great atmosphere and great space. I enjoy the fact that they have large wingback chairs you can relax in while you sip on a pint. Will definitely be returning. Looks like they have great live music as well.

The atmosphere is of an ambience type. The servers are friendly and helpful. The price, given today's cost of living is reasonable. I have made this my choice place to eat and drink, and dine.

This is one of my all-time favorite place to go. One of the best Irish pub in vancity. Food is always delicious, staff is super awesome and they have the amazing happy-hour deals. On top of all that, good music and pool table. I am pretty fussy about the rating but this place deserves 5 start. Cheers..!

Love this spot for some pints and tasty bar food. Always have live events like UFC, live music, and fun parties. St. Patty's day here is awesome and the staff are always super chill. Pool table is also great addition.

Any place that's willing to combine poutine and Yorkshire pudding to make a requested Yorkshire Poutine deserves at least six stars. Not only did they attempt this feat, they created undoubtedly the best comfort food know to human kind!!! Bravo! The beer and service was great too.

Fun place with live music some nights good spot to watch hockey/ football if you’re downtown! Lots of space, good atmosphere. I haven’t been here as much during the weekend. This place is a classic venue and has been around for decades!

We were in town for a quick weekend trip. Took our kids who are of legal drinking age here. Reserved a table upstairs right across from the stage. It was a great spot and our kids loved the music from the DJ and the band. Had a great time and the food was great as well.

Irish pub in heart of Gastown. Large selection of draft beers/ciders. Food looked plentiful and those eating it seemed to lihe it.

You better drink your drink on time. Because they kick you out even tho you re not done with your drink. It just feel bad to spend money there and kicked out this way.
